Safe Kids Kansas and US Coast Guard hold life jacket fashion show to promote water safety


TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Topeka Zoo performed host to a novel trend present on Monday that featured children carrying un-sinkable apparel.

The occasion was sponsored by Protected Youngsters Kansas and the Coast Guard to point out off the various kinds of life jackets obtainable to children of all ages and to emphasise the significance of carrying one whereas out on the water.

Together with life jackets, Protected Youngsters Director Cherie Sage says grownup supervision is important to conserving children secure within the water. “Whether or not you’ve received a toddler in a bath or a wading pool, otherwise you’re on the metropolis pool, a lake, and even within the ocean, it’s essential for adults to have their eyes on kids always,” stated Sage. “Drowning occurs so shortly and silently, so your undivided consideration is the most secure factor.”
