Chefas Tasks is extremely joyful to welcome again summary artist John Vitale for his 2d solo exhibition with the gallery entitled Mom Cabrini to Sundown Park. The name references his day-to-day direction from condominium to studio in his new discovered house of New York Town.
“The paintings on this display is a synthesis of my adventure those previous 4 months,” Vitale says. “Shifting each house and my studio from Portland to NYC, letting move of the comforts and the glide that point has molded inside each, in addition to leaving in the back of a lot of my property.”, says Vitale. “I’ve spent maximum of my time since arriving in Brooklyn by myself, transferring backward and forward from level A (my condominium) to Level B (my studio). The regimen and repetitiveness of this newfound day-to-day direction has instilled the richness of the trivia of an differently mundane task. Paying attention to the most simple of main points and the wonder and ugliness inside all of it.
“This disposition has lent itself to the paintings and has given it a comfortable, and occasionally monotone, but nonetheless very detailed power. Those subtler main points could have expressed themselves from my unconscious reviews, whilst the total comfortable nature of a lot of the paintings has evolved from consciousness of day-to-day repetition and reflecting on what I’ve consciously digested.”
